The rules apply to your advertising too.

A practical guide
Where marketing meets the rules
A practical starting point for comparing providers, preparing questions and agreeing a clear scope of work.
| What to ask | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Before and after photographs | Real patients, written consent recorded at the time, consistent lighting, no misleading editing and no implied guarantee of the same result. |
| The word specialist | Restricted to registrants on the relevant specialist list. Getting this wrong on a website is a common and avoidable complaint. |
| Advertising claims | Anything you claim must be capable of being evidenced, under the CAP Code as well as professional guidance. |
| Finance wording | Credit advertising carries its own requirements, and authorisation is usually needed to introduce finance at all. |
| Patient testimonials | Permitted with care. Consent, accuracy, and no editing that changes the meaning. |
| Data protection | Enquiries about treatment are health related data. Consent, retention and opt outs all have to be handled properly. |
What to compare
Choosing a provider in this area.

What we add
Where our side of it fits.
Copy written to the guidance
Every page and every ad drafted with the professional and advertising rules in mind, then sent to you to approve.
Consent built into the process
Forms and a workflow so patient images are only ever published with consent on file.
Nothing published unchecked
Clinical wording, prices and claims are read by a person and signed off by you before they go live.
Connected work
Where this touches your marketing.
Straight answers
Common questions.
Do you provide compliance advice?
No. We write to the guidance and we flag anything that looks risky, but your compliance lead or adviser confirms what you may publish. We would rather be the agency that asks.
Who is responsible if an ad breaches the rules?
The practice, in almost every case, because it is your registration and your advertising. Which is exactly why nothing patient facing goes live without your approval.
Can we use patient photos we already have?
Only if consent was recorded for marketing use. Old photographs with no paperwork are not worth the risk.
