Dental implant marketing · Google & Meta
One implant case pays for the whole quarter's ads.
A combined Google and Meta campaign built for implants and full-arch: Google catches the patients already searching, Meta works on the ones still deciding, and the follow-up gets them into the chair.
Why implant campaigns fail
It's almost never the ads.
Practices come to us saying paid advertising doesn't work for implants. When we look, the ads were usually fine. Everything after the click was the problem.
An implant patient takes weeks or months to decide, often talks to a partner about it, and is frightened of the surgery as much as the price. A campaign that treats them like a whitening enquiry loses them.
- Ads pointing at a homepage instead of an implant page
- No price and no monthly finance figure anywhere on the page
- Enquiries arriving at 8pm and answered at 11am the next day
- One phone call, no answer, lead written off
- Nothing at all for the patient who wasn't ready in week one
- Reception treating a £12,— enquiry like a check-up booking
- Nobody tracking which ad produced the case that closed
The strategy
Two channels, two different patients, one system.
Running only Google means you're limited to the small number of people searching this month. Running only Meta means talking to people who weren't looking. Together, they cover the whole decision.
Catch the ones already looking
“Dental implants near me. How much do dental implants cost UK?”
They've decided they want implants and they're choosing a practice. This is the highest-intent traffic you can buy, and it converts fastest — usually within days.
- Search campaigns on implant and full-arch terms
- Separate campaigns for single tooth, multiple teeth and All-on-4
- Negative search terms stripping out students, jobs and NHS searches
- Search ads with call assets for the over-55s who'd rather ring than type
- Bidding on your own name so competitors don't take your patients
Fast, expensive per click, limited by how many people search.
Work on the ones still deciding
“I've been putting up with this denture for four years. Maybe I should look into it.”
Far more people are unhappy with their teeth than are searching today. Facebook and Instagram put your results in front of them, then stay in front of them until they're ready.
- Patient story videos — the single best-performing implant creative
- Before-and-after ads, used within GDC guidance
- Targeting by age and area, not guesswork interests
- Retargeting everyone who visited the implant page and didn't enquire
- Open evening and free consultation events that fill the diary
Cheaper per enquiry, slower to convert, builds demand that Google can't.
Demand, by city
How many people search for this each month.
Indicative monthly search volumes for the main term in twelve UK cities, roughly 4,750 searches a month between them. It tells you whether the demand exists before you spend anything. Your own catchment will differ, which is what the free audit looks at.
| City | Search term | Monthly | Note |
|---|---|---|---|
| London | dental implants london | 1,900 | Highest value, highest competition |
| Manchester | dental implants manchester | 480 | Strong implant market |
| Birmingham | dental implants birmingham | 390 | |
| Glasgow | dental implants glasgow | 320 | |
| Leeds | dental implants leeds | 260 | |
| Liverpool | dental implants liverpool | 260 | |
| Bristol | dental implants bristol | 210 | |
| Edinburgh | dental implants edinburgh | 210 | |
| Newcastle | dental implants newcastle | 210 | |
| Cardiff | dental implants cardiff | 170 | |
| Nottingham | dental implants nottingham | 170 | |
| Sheffield | dental implants sheffield | 170 |
Indicative figures for the head term only. Real demand is higher once related searches are counted. See the full demand data across every treatment and city.
What it costs and when it works
Spend, channels and how long each one takes.
These figures and timings are illustrative planning assumptions, not verified benchmarks. Replace them with local research and practice records before setting a budget. Fees and terms require a written proposal.
- Typical case value
- £2,—–£3,— single implant
- What a good month looks like
- One accepted case a month
| Channel | Typical monthly spend | First enquiries | Fair read | What it does here |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Google Ads | £1,500–£3,—/mo | Days | 90 days | High intent. Someone typing dental implants cost is already deciding. Expensive clicks, but the case value carries them. |
| Meta ads | £800–£1,500/mo | Days | 90 days | Reaches people who have not started searching. Slower to convert, cheaper per enquiry, needs the longest follow-up. |
| Search & treatment pages | In your plan | Weeks | 6 months | Slow to start, then it keeps producing without media spend. The channel that stops you renting patients. |
| Patient reactivation | In your plan | 2 weeks | 30 days | The cheapest implant cases in the practice. People already quoted who never proceeded. |
| Follow-up sequences | In your plan | Immediate | 60 days | Not a source of enquiries, a multiplier on all of them. Usually the highest return item on this table. |
The journey
Where implant patients drop out — and what we do about it.
A typical month on a combined campaign. Every stage below is something we build, not something we hope happens.
Search ads plus video and before-and-after creative running in your catchment.
A dedicated campaign page: price, finance, the surgeon, real cases, one clear next step.
Three ways to make contact, because a nervous 60-year-old won't always fill in a form.
Automatic text and email the second they enquire, then a call from reception with a script that works.
Confirmation, a reminder the day before, and what to expect — the fix for implant consultation no-shows.
Tracked back to the exact ad, so we spend more on what produces cases and stop what doesn't.
Your numbers
What would implant ads be worth to your practice?
Move the sliders to match your practice. These are illustrative figures, not a promise — but they're the same maths we'd run with you on a call.
Illustrative only. Assumes our £1,450/month campaign fee. Real results depend on your catchment, competition, prices, how quickly your team responds and how well consultations convert. No agency can guarantee case numbers, and you should be sceptical of any that does.
What you get
Nine pieces. All of them, every month.
The implant page
Price, monthly finance, your surgeon's credentials, real cases, and an enquiry form that takes 20 seconds. Nothing else on the page to click away to.
Search campaigns
Built and managed weekly. Single tooth, multiple teeth and full-arch kept apart so budget goes where the cases are.
Feed & retargeting
Patient stories, before-and-afters and open-evening ads, plus retargeting for everyone who looked and didn't enquire.
Ads written and edited for you
New creative every month — the same three images stop working by week six.
Text and email in 60 seconds
The enquiry gets an immediate reply with the price guide and next step, even at 10pm on a Sunday.
Six weeks of follow-up
Emails and texts answering the questions that stop people booking: does it hurt, how long, what if I've got no bone left, can I pay monthly.
Call script and training
A one-page script for the implant enquiry call, and a session with your team on handling the price question.
Every call recorded to an ad
You'll hear the calls. Most practices find their biggest problem this way, and it's usually free to fix.
Cases, not clicks
One page: spend, enquiries, consultations, cases, cost per case. Fifteen minutes on the phone if you want it.
Creative
Ads that look like your practice, not a stock library.
The best-performing implant ad is almost always a real patient talking to camera for 40 seconds.
First 90 days
What actually happens after you say yes.
Build
Campaign page written and live, ad accounts built, tracking and call recording installed, follow-up sequence written, reception script agreed with your team.
Live and learning
Google switches on first and enquiries start within the fortnight. Meta runs alongside to build the retargeting audience. Early numbers are noisy — we don't panic and neither should you.
Cutting the waste
Enough data to see which search terms and creatives produce consultations rather than just enquiries. Budget moves to what works. Cost per enquiry usually falls here.
Cases closing
The people who enquired in month one are now accepting treatment — implant decisions take time. This is the first month where cost per case means anything, and where we agree whether to scale spend.
If you need cases in three weeks, say so on the call and we'll tell you honestly whether that's realistic for your catchment.
Prices
Published, so you can do the maths yourself.
Our fee is separate from your ad spend, which you pay to Google and Meta directly. We never mark up media.

Straight answers
What principals ask before committing budget.
How much should I spend on implant ads?
£1,— to £1,500 a month is a sensible starting point for a single practice. Below about £750 there isn't enough data to learn from and you'll spend three months guessing. If one case is worth £3,— to you, that budget only has to produce one case a month to be worth doing.
Google or Meta — if I could only pick one?
Google, for a practice starting out. It's more expensive per enquiry but the patients are already looking, so you'll know within six weeks whether it works. Add Meta once you have patient stories to advertise with — that's when it gets cheap.
How quickly will I see enquiries?
Google usually produces the first enquiries inside two weeks. Cases take longer — implant patients often take four to twelve weeks to decide, and full-arch longer again. Judge the campaign at 90 days, not 30.
We tried implant ads before and got rubbish leads.
Usually one of three things: the ads were showing for the wrong searches, the page had no price so everyone enquired just to find out, or nobody rang back quickly enough. Our enquiry audit finds which one in about a week.
Can we use before-and-after photos?
Yes, with care. Real patients, written consent on file, no misleading editing, no implied guarantee of the same result. Meta also has its own rules on before-and-afters and body imagery, which we work within — badly made implant ads get accounts restricted.
Do you work with practices near us?
One implant practice per catchment. If we already run implant ads for someone nearby, we'll tell you on the first call rather than take your money and bid against them.
Who owns the ad accounts?
You do. We work inside your Google Ads and Meta accounts, not a shared agency one. If we part ways you keep the account, the history and the audiences — which is worth more than most practices realise.
Next step
Bring your numbers. We'll tell you if it's worth it.
Thirty minutes. Your average case value, your catchment and what you've spent before. We'll run the maths with you and say plainly whether implant ads make sense for your practice — including if the answer is no.
Want more implant cases?
Tell us your area and how many cases a month you could take. We will tell you honestly whether the demand is there before anyone talks about budgets.
