A practical guide

What to compare between providers

A practical starting point for comparing providers, preparing questions and agreeing a clear scope of work.

What to askWhy it matters
What does 0% actually cost you?Interest free to the patient means a subsidy paid by the practice, usually a percentage of the treatment value. Know that number before you advertise the offer.
What is the acceptance rate?A provider that declines half your patients creates awkward conversations at the chair. Ask what proportion of applications are approved.
How fast is the decision?Same visit approval closes cases. An application that takes days gives the patient time to reconsider.
What terms are available?Longer terms produce lower monthly figures and better response. Check what your provider offers before your ads quote a number.
Who carries the risk?Understand what happens if a patient defaults partway through treatment, and whether that comes back to the practice.
What are you authorised to say?Credit advertising is regulated. Your provider will tell you what wording and representative information is required.

Provider by provider

The lenders UK dental patients actually meet.

Four names appear on most UK treatment plans. They differ mainly on term length, decision speed and what an interest free offer costs your practice. These guides cover each one and what it means commercially.

All are FCA authorised. Ampli5 Dental is independent, is not a credit broker, receives nothing for naming any provider, and is not a regulatory adviser. Logos identify each provider only; no endorsement or partnership is implied and all marks belong to their owners. Practices offering or introducing consumer credit generally need FCA authorisation, and your compliance adviser should confirm what applies to you.

What to compare

Choosing a provider in this area.

Ampli5 has no official associates or supplier partnerships. Use these points to research providers independently and confirm their scope, availability and terms directly.

01

Finance in the first line

We put the monthly figure where the patient sees it, in the ad and on the page, which changes response more than any targeting decision.

02

Reception trained on the question

Straight answers

Common questions.

Do we need FCA authorisation?

Practices offering or introducing patient finance generally need authorisation as a credit broker, and finance adverts must carry required representative information. Your provider and your own compliance adviser confirm what applies to you. We are a marketing agency, not your regulatory adviser.

Can you write our finance ads?

Yes, to whatever wording your provider and compliance lead approve. We build the ads around that, we do not decide what you are permitted to say.

Is 0% worth the subsidy?

Usually, on treatments over about two thousand pounds. Model it in the ROI calculator with the subsidy taken off your margin and see whether the extra acceptances cover it.
