A practical guide

What to sort out around completion

A practical starting point for comparing providers, preparing questions and agreeing a clear scope of work.

What to askWhy it matters
Who owns the domain?More often than you would expect it is registered to a former agency or a family member. Establish this before completion, not after.
Who controls the Google listing? The listing carries the reviews. Transferring ownership properly protects them. Creating a new one throws them away.
What happens to the reviews?Years of reviews are part of what you paid for. They stay with the listing, so the listing matters more than the website.
Are you rebranding, and when?A rename loses local recognition. Sometimes right, often not. If you do it, redirect properly and give it time.
Who holds the ad accounts?Get access before the seller loses interest. Account history has real value and cannot be recreated.
Is the patient data transfer lawful?Patient records move under their own rules. Your solicitor handles that, and it is not a marketing question.

What we add

Where our side of it fits.

01

Transition handled properly

Domains, listings, redirects and accounts moved without losing rankings or reviews.

02

Rebrand without the drop

If you are renaming, we plan the redirects and the announcement so patients and search engines both follow you.

03

Growth from day one

A campaign for the new ownership, rather than three quiet months while everyone settles in.

Straight answers

Common questions.

We complete next month. Is it too late?

No, but it is tight. The redirects and the listing transfer are the urgent parts. Everything else can follow.

Should we keep the old practice name?

Usually yes for at least a year. Local recognition is worth real money and a rename throws it away for nothing.

Do you work with brokers?

We do, and we are happy to be introduced at heads of terms rather than at completion. Earlier is cheaper.
