Facebook & Instagram ads for dentists
Reach the patients who haven't started looking yet.
Far more people are unhappy with their teeth than are searching for treatment this month. Meta is where you reach them — with a result that looks like their own mouth, at 10pm, when they're scrolling in bed.
Before & after
What changed on Meta.
Ad formats
What we run, and what each one looks like in the feed.
The format matters more on Meta than the targeting does. A brilliant audience seeing a boring ad produces nothing.
An honest word on targeting
You can't target "people who need implants".
Meta removed most health-related detailed targeting options, and any agency promising to put your ads in front of people with missing teeth is describing something that doesn't exist. What's actually available is location, age, and broad behavioural signals — and Meta's own delivery system finding the people most likely to respond.
That sounds like a limitation. In practice it's fine, because the creative is the targeting. An ad showing a full-arch result speaks to people who need full-arch work, and Meta learns from who engages. Which is exactly why the video matters more than the audience settings.
- Radius around each practice, tightened by what actually converts
- Age bands matched to the treatment — aligners and implants differ by decades
- Retargeting from your own website and video viewers
- Lookalikes built from your actual patient list, where consent allows
- Exclusions so existing patients don't see new-patient offers
The engine
Meta ads die after six weeks. So we replace them monthly.
Google ads can run for a year. Meta ads can't — the same people see them repeatedly and stop noticing. This is the cycle that keeps a campaign alive.
Before & after
A finished case from your practice, cut as a reel. Consent recorded, no misleading editing.
Objection answered
One question on camera — pain, visibility, timescale, or the cheap online alternative.
Patient story
Forty seconds of a real patient. Outperforms everything else you'll run.
Offer
Free assessment, open evening or a finance message, rotated so it never goes stale.
Content day
A day at your practice filming clinicians and patients — three months of creative in one visit.
Cut what's dead
Ads below threshold are switched off rather than left running out of politeness.

Straight answers
Questions about Meta ads.
Our Facebook page has hardly any followers. Does that matter?
Not really. Paid reach doesn't depend on your follower count — you're buying access to people who don't follow you. A tidy page with recent posts helps credibility when they check you out, and that's about the extent of it.
We get enquiries but nobody books.
Usually the format or the response time. Instant lead forms produce cheap enquiries from people who never left the app — add a qualifying question, send them to a proper campaign page instead, and reply within minutes rather than the next morning.
Can we use before-and-after photos?
Yes, with care. Real patients, written consent on file, consistent lighting, no misleading editing and no implied guarantee. Meta also restricts certain before-and-after formats, so badly built ads get rejected or the account limited.
Do we have to be on camera?
It's the single biggest lever you control. Ads with your clinician or a real patient consistently beat stock imagery — and we bring the camera to you, so it's three hours a quarter, not a production.
How much should we spend?
£500–£800 a month to start for a single practice. Meta enquiries are cheap and plentiful, so the constraint is usually how many your team can follow up properly, not the budget.
Meta or Google?
Aligners and cosmetic work lean Meta. Implants and emergencies lean Google. Most practices run both. Here's the full comparison →
